Short Report
October 31-November 1, 2006 American Presbytery Meeting

Held at Hingham, Wisconsin

• The American Presbytery was called to Order at 9:08 AM, with opening prayer, devotions and singing of Psalms.
• Roll Call of members was taken, a declaration of Quorum was made and guests from Sovereign Grace Church, Gettysburg, Pa. and Coopersburg, Pa. were recognized.
• Teaching Elder Rudy Pottecker was elected as moderator.
• Ruling Elder Jerry Clay was elected as secretary.
• Ruling Elder Ron De Troye was elected as preparer of the short report.
• Minutes were approved for the stated meetings of Dec. 29, 2005 (which consisted of four appendices) and July 18, 2006, with action approved at the stated meeting.
• We received reports from each of the churches, along with comments of introduction by Sovereign Grace Church, Gettysburg, Pa.
• Licentiate Justin Stodghill was examined for ordination and approved.
• Gene Osborne was examined and approved by presbytery to be received as an assistant pastor called by Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church, Sheboygan.
• Licentiate Justin Stodghill was approved as an additional member to the temporary session of Manawa. Also, a new missionary work was recognized to be established in New London, Wi. with oversight by the Manawa church.
• It was determined that a study of the prescriptive nature of exclusive psalmody be studied at the next meeting.
• The short report and concept minutes were read and approved.
• It was determined that the next meeting will be on June 12-13 at the Janesville, Wisconsin Church.
• The meeting was adjourned with prayer at 6:05 PM, Nov. 1, 2006.
